Nuru

Nuru (“light” in Swahili) is a renewable energy company expanding electricity access across the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since deploying Congo’s first solar mini-grid in 2017, Nuru has developed the largest off-grid solar hybrid site in sub-Saharan Africa (1.3 MW in Goma) along with additional sites in Beni, Tadu, and Faradje.
